Combining these courses together will allow a student to work towards becoming a certified Yoga therapist (accreditation with the International Association of Yoga Therapists). Programs include:
Accessible Yoga: Exploring the many ways Yoga can be adapted to people with disabilities, physical challenges and seniors. This can range from teaching gentle Yoga classes, to teaching entire classes in a chair or in a bed.
Cardiac Medical Yoga: An internationally renowned certification program designed to educate and train medical personnel and yoga instructors to work with cardiac patients and their families in the area of Mind-Body Medicine and Yoga.
YCAT - Yoga Therapy in Cancer & Chronic Illness: A professional, three-level certification designed to train health professionals and Yoga teachers to work safely with cancer patients at any stage of illness as well as people with stable chronic illness.
Yoga for the Special Child: A multi-level comprehensive program of Yoga techniques designed to enhance the natural development of children with special needs. Our style of Yoga is gentle and beneficial, safe for babies and children with Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Microcephaly, Autism and other developmental disabilities.
Mental Health & Yoga: An emerging area of yoga research and application, this course explores specific therapeutic techniques for those suffering from anxiety, depression, trauma and other mental health disorders.
