I have a deep passion for the discipline of Integral Yoga. Integrating these teachings into my life have helped me through my biggest challenges and to find peace.

It is my absolute honour to share the teachings as authentically as they have been passed down to me. My commitment as a yoga teacher trainer is to develop inspiring, compassionate and highly skilled yoga teachers to work with all abilities.

Accessible Yoga is at the forefront of the emerging field of yoga therapy. I pledge to share the ancient teachings of yoga to Hong Kong's communities with disabilities, chronic illness or special needs through individual sessions or tailor-made programs.

Yoga can be accessible to everyone regardless of age, ability or background. Everyone has the right to an easeful body, a peaceful mind and a useful life.

Hersha is a wise and experienced teacher, with a wicked sense of humor and a deep experiential knowledge of the multiple aspects of yoga practice. She makes what is hard feel easy and reminds one that asanas that look easy still require attention and dedication. Every moment spent learning from her is a blessing!

The YAMA Foundation makes Yoga, Art, Meditation Accessible

Hersha advocates for persons with disabilities and special needs. Through her journey, she has had many clients with different abilities and from different backgrounds. As a result, she co-founded YAMA Foundation: a unique non-profit organisation that brings yoga, art and meditation to under-served communities in Hong Kong regardless of background or ability. Outreach includes: schools, community centres, hospices, prisons, refugee centres, hospitals, special education schools and other local charities.

Hersha gives a percentage of Hersha Yoga's profits to YAMA Foundation, to ensure that anyone can access a class, experience the benefits of yoga and afford it.
