Inspired
from Swami Satchidananda's system of Yoga, these classes offer a
complete balance and rejuvenation of the body and mind. The classes vary in difficulty and include the classical Integral Yoga sequence of yoga postures, deep relaxation,
pranayama and meditation.
Integral Yoga's Hatha classes vary greatly from other styles of yoga. The philosophy of Integral Yoga's Hatha is: "take it easy, but not lazy," which means that students are encouraged to listen to the body's natural signals without forcing or straining. Hatha yoga is regarded as a slow but steady medicine, working to restore the body to its natural health and vitality.
Each class provides a general health tonic for the entire body and nervous system. The deep relaxation and breathing techniques offer a method of stress management and improving the immune system. Meditation at the end allows each student to begin to calm all the thoughts in the mind... complete novices included!
The multi-level class is open to all levels
and beginners are always welcome!
The intermediate class is also open
to all levels but include more advanced postures.
