Learning to Forgive
A friend and colleague, Sushma Zahira Gidwani, recently wrote an article on Forgiveness. With her gracious permission, I have posted it on my blog, so add to my collection for Forgiveness articles. You can download the full article (pdf) by clicking the image on the right.
Below is a brief introduction to the article:
“All inner work needs to start with ourselves first. We are the only ones who have dominion over our thoughts, words and deeds. Before one can even contemplate the possibility of gracing someone with forgiveness, we must first forgive ourself, and take responsibility for the part we have played in creating a situation or breakdown. As a result, we open our heart to compassion, which provides a foundation for learning and resolution.”
Sushma Zahira Gidwani has 10 years experience in personal development, transformational therapy and coaching. Her company offers coaching, meditative, and therapeutic services. Sushma explains, “The company’s founding commitment is to raise awareness and consciousness, seeking to create and participate in the Enlightenment of all humanity and ultimately life itself.”
Sushma’s experience includes: family constellation, chakra cleansing and alignment, pulsation, hypnotherapy in behavioural and health resolution, zen counselling and Qigong.
Forgiveness - Another Perspective

“Forgiveness is a bold act of courage. It is empowered, loving action. A divine choice to begin a process of recovery. It’s restorative potential is amplified when one commits with a true intention to forgive. Ultimately it is a give one gives to oneself.”
